The Fearful Glory

In The Fearful Glory, we explore the often-forgotten biblical truth that God’s glory is both beautiful and terrifying. Throughout Scripture, encounters with the living God do not begin with casual confidence but with awe, silence, repentance, and fear. Yet this fear is not meant to drive us away—it is meant to rightly order our hearts before a holy God.

This sermon calls the church to recover a reverence that has been lost in an age of casual Christianity. We examine how the fear of the Lord is not opposed to grace, but is the doorway through which grace is rightly understood. When God reveals His glory, He exposes our smallness, our sin, and our need—yet He also invites us to draw near through Christ.

The Fearful Glory challenges believers to move beyond a God made in our image and return to worship shaped by Scripture, holiness, and humble obedience. This is a message for anyone who longs to know God not only as Savior, but as the Holy One who reigns in unmatched glory.
